Festival of Light, 2017

An unexpected start to the year!

The conversation around partnership working had begun with two local businesses before Christmas, with over-arching aim to keep public money local.

When we received an invitation to respond to a tender, it was the right opportunity to begin to act on the previous conversation.

Working in partnership as an organisation can be complex, but there was clear definitions based on the skills on each side of the partnership.  MiCasa Ltd have delivered a number of larger events and have the technical skills, were we have the creative skills and contacts.

Distilling down the ideas into a methodology.  We were working to a brief to create a free public event, a Festival of Light, a memorable experience and attract visitors to Project 24 and to Bangor.

As a Social Enterprise we have a number of core aims, one of them is to create opportunities for local creatives to work.  Through the installation of work as part of this event we provide an opportunity for 37 local artists to show their work and to be paid for it.
