Late Night Art Bangor - August

THURSDAY 28th AUGUST - It’s August Craft Month!

Boom HQ @ 80A Main St, Bangor, BT20 5AE, and Boom 2 across the street at 51 Main St and Bingham Mall.

Mark your calendars for your monthly fix of art & culture in Bangor.

LNAB events are train-friendly, running between 6-9pm, with the hope that you will visit multiple venues and soak up all the arts sector has to offer. Which in Bangor, is a lot!

What’s on at Boom?

First floor studios (at time of writing)

Open Studios - wander round and see who’s in! We’re expecting Les, Oonagh, hopefully Fi Butler and Maya Todd and Macrame artist Claire (Nodo Crafts) will have installed a display in the office area - stop by and have a look.

Top floor workshop - Boom Clinic

Jenni Robinson is your Boom staff on duty tonight and instead of studio 4 being open, she will have a display of work in the workshop and is there for all your Boom-related queries! Book a class, sign up as a volunteer, find out about how we can support you as an artist, enquire about parties, just pop in for a chat!

Top floor gallery

“The Art of Photography”

We look forward to welcoming Bangor & North Down Camera Club for a guest exhibition this month. Featuring a range of images from their members, come along and meet some of them at Boom’s gallery on the top floor!

TOP FLOOR STUDIOS

David, Jessica and hopefully a few more will be in their studios on the top floor! We’d love to see you for a chat about our work. We also have additional art displayed around the studio area.

Boom 2 - Bingham Mall

Visit Ricky in his Boom 2 studio in Bingham Mall.

Boom 2 - Upstairs (door next to BHF on Main St)

For the very first time, we invite you to see our new Trade:Hub Incubator Space ! Formerly the Threadquarters sewing school venue, our large workshop now hosts 6 emerging creatives’ studios as they begin their professional artist/designer/maker journey. Meet Eimear, Heather, possibly some other new faces and don’t forget to go along the corridor to our individual studios where Adele Pound will be displaying brand new work from her recent wildlife art residency in Norfolk.
