A 4-weeek block with a different skill/theme each week.

Week 1 - Get to know the professional grade paints and work on layering & blending in still life.

Week 2 - Get to grips with colour theory. Use your new skills to alter the values of a single chosen colour by dilution, tints and shades, before creating an image that represents a feeling/emotion brought on by that colour.

Week 3 - Experimental mark-making. Use your colour theory knowledge and various everyday tools to print, scrape, swoosh and drip your way to a collection of interesting papers, then use them to collage a scene or abstract composition.

Week 4 - Brushes are banned - get your layers on with palette knives to create thickly textured, expressive landscapes
