Open Art - Community Arts Sessions in Bangor

Join us for a fun, relaxed morning of creativity!

Open Art is Boom Studios’ social art programme, returning for a new run this Spring. Our aim is to build community through arts participation and sharing of community contacts - connecting people who may be new to Bangor, or otherwise seeking connection with likeminded creative residents.

Wednesdays 10.30-11.30 with some extra time for snacks & socialising afterwards. Specific dates and locations are shown below - please check social media for updates.

£ This programme is currently un-funded and we welcome donations towards running costs. Suggested donation £6, can be made at the start of the session via our pink collection boxes (please have exact change for cash) or by card machine.

Approx 1 hour of activity, plus social time. Drinks and snacks available.

27-May-2026 | Inktense Embroidery
Combine simple embroidery stitches with vibrant Inktense pencil or paint washes to create colourful textile art inspired by flowers. A mindful mixed-media activity with beautiful expressive results.

3-Jun-2026 | Green Man Water Colour Painting
A mystical Green Man painted in flowing watercolours, celebrating Beltane, renewal, and the vibrant energy of nature in bloom.

10-Jun-2026 | Neurographic Art
A meditative drawing technique using flowing lines, shapes, and colour to encourage relaxation, creativity, and self-expression.

17-Jun-2026 | Illustrated Poetry
Pair meaningful poems, favourite quotes, or personal writing with watercolour, drawing & botanical decoration to create expressive mixed-media artwork.

Maximum class size 16 people. Drop-in basis, donations appreciated (suggested donation £6/session).
