about ni creative health network
Established “To develop an innovative model of partnership bringing together the experience of the Health Sector with the expertise of our Cultural and Creative Sector to enhance the health and wellbeing of all connected to Northern Ireland”, NICHN is a cross-sector network of passionate and creative individuals and groups who are brought together by the overwhelming evidence of the benefits of arts and creativity to support health and wellbeing. This ranges from individual clinical based arts activities to arts projects engaging people physically and emotionally fostering relationships, social inclusion and recovery, to building stronger communities through cultural and heritage venues.
Designed to be non-heirarchal, the network engages collaboratively, believing that this approach is the way to best serve the health of the individual and the whole community.

Creative Health is a wonderful asset for Northern Ireland that is uniquely placed to support the Health and Care System and the health and wellbeing of our community. Its impact is considerable at every level from improving individual and community wellbeing, enhancing healthcare delivery and healthcare environments and contributing to system and culture change.
At a time of growing need and decreasing resources, get in touch and join the network to work with us to pool our resources and continue to develop a “Creative Health Ecosystem” for Northern Ireland...
