SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DAY -16TH NOVEMBER

A what's that now? Did you know Boom is a social enterprise?

Everything we do and every penny we make goes back in to our operation supporting local artists with work, work/head space and providing creative activities and development for our local community. And a whole bunch of other stuff!

In fact, when we were assessed a year or two back, it was found that the social value of our work was £7.83 per every £1 spent. We wrote a blog about that at the time if you'd like more detail

2024 is Boom's big 1-0 birthday. A whole decade supporting artists and our community. And with a new long-term lease in our HQ building, we're all geared up to support Bangor and further afield for another 10.

How can you support us?

There are loads of free ways listed below. However if you can, attend classes, give gift vouchers, buy from our artists, we're also a charity so you can donate (we're currently working on new fundraising avenues so please contact us if you wish to do that).

Hire us! We support both private events such as parties, as well as business functions for staff wellbeing, creative up-skilling, socials - if you have an idea let us know and we might just be able to spark it for you.

Free ways to support us include

Sharing, liking, and commenting on our social media posts - Facebook - Instagram

Telling your friends!

Reviews on Google (if you Google “Boom Studios Bangor” you can read reviews and add your own)

Volunteer with us

Come to our free events, such as this Saturday's Open Studio, take photos, and tell the world about us however you can. We also pop up at loads of local festivals and culture events with free craft tasters and information, we love to see a good crowd enjoying themselves with us.

So! There's a bit about us and our work as a social enterpirse. If you're really in to it, why not read our current strategy, "100 Studios", launched earlier this year?

If you'd like more information about any of the above, drop us an email on marianne@boomstudios.org.uk or for volunteering specifically, jenni@boomstudios.org.uk
